Stephen Andrew Borden left Fall River about 1872 and moved to South Boston to work on the railroad. While there he met and married Frances Wheeler. They lived at 83 Emerson street. They had six children, my grandfather Herbert, Marion (later married Shumway), Francis and three other children that died young, Arthur, Florence and Gertrude. After the death of Frances' father, Elhanen Constantine Wheeler, in a railroad accident, they moved back to Fall River and Stephen worked for the Railway at the Stafford St Station.
